Well, Chad Billheimer just left a little more than 1 1/2 hours ago, after spending about 3 1/2 hours here, working on my PRO-151FD. What can I say? Chad is a very nice guy, knows his business, and showed up right on time (actually a few minutes early). He does great work! It looks amazing! I was using dnice's settings, and it looked pretty good, to begin with, but, I'm very pleased with the results. For example, I knew that my blacks were too dark, getting some black crush in dark scenes, and shows like CSI: Miami. the colors seemed way too saturated.

Well, he set up ISF-Day and ISF-Night for each of three inputs (HTPC, Comcast, and Blu Ray), as well as a global Pure mode calibration.

I've got it set for ISF-Day at the moment (Only 7:20pm right now, still lots of sunlight), and it looks amazing. I'm sure the ISF-Night mode will look just as amazing tonight after dark.

Add me to the list of believers in ISF calibration, as well as the list of people who would happily recommend Chad Billheimer.

You aren't using CSI Miami as a baseline for color, I hope. The colors are supposed to look oversaturated, that's its signature look.

Hi Chris,

Yes, I understand the heavily saturated color is the CSI: Miami 'signature' look, but, before calibration, the colors were REALLY oversaturated, like, practically glowing....

Now they are well saturated, and vivid, but not quite so over the top. I think they now look like they're supposed to look....

Thanks for your calibration report. I've included it in the flat panel (Post#2) list that's linked at the bottom of my post.

I wish Chad B would have a tour out west. I have a couple sets that need deep menu attention.

Awaiting the Reference Standard in Blu Ray REGION FREE Player Technology and EW service..............................still waiting. :)

You absolutely cannot go wrong with Chad. David Abrams, another highly regarded video calibration specialist, covers much of western US and is extremely familiar with the entire Pioneer plasma line and also uses ControlCal.
