I have a few of the older Panasonic 8UK series plasmas and I'm looking everywhere to try and find the HDMI blades for these sets. Used would be fine or new. If anyone has any for sale or knows where to find them, please post or PM me. Thanks

I just called this company and they said they should have them in by the end of May. I have bought two boards from this company before, they are reliable. Sorry the other site was out of them.

Funny I called them this afternoon and they told me that they expected them in January and they were pushed back till Feb. Feb was pushed back to March, then March to May.

He was a cool operator and said that they had 3 on order but, not to expect them in May either and that it was a very good chance it would be pushed back again.

But, I do thank you very much for looking and trying. THX

Most if not all of their video cards are back ordered, due to the lack of production on Panasonic's part. They did not realize the demand would be very high, thus the UKA series (first introduced) integrates the dual HDMI card to minimizes the number of requests for the HDMI card.

If it will help anyone, I have found a seller who has 3 in stock for $125 each. Shipping should be no more than $5 from me to you. If anyone wants one PM me, I can tell you they are damn difficult to find and the price seems fair. I will wait a few days and see if anyone wants them to save on shipping them all at once. THX

I have a TY-FB7HM that has never been used. I bought as a "just in case" a couple of years ago. Having just bought a KRP-600M, I seriously doubt I will need it. Pm me if there is any interest.

There is some kind of "hold" on the sales of these as directed by the Plasma Factory. There is stock of these in the US but none are being released to dealers pending the Factory QC check. Rumored to be some kind of EDID fubar but that is only a rumor.

Once the problem is cleared, forum sponsor VA has had them on order for ages, don't know about anybody else. Don't kill the messenger but expect to pay top dollar for these. Supply and demand, special production run of a discontinued product, etc.

Thanks for the update! I'm hoping they can fix the issue and release the board early next year.

Actually, parts was open half a day this morning. I spoke to them on another item but was told they have "new" stock TY-FB8HM just received that are OK for sale. They'll be open again Monday 12/28.

Panasonic National Parts Center 800-332-5368 hours 9:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. EST Monday through Friday.

online: http://www.pstc.panasonic.com/epartr/

All Plasma board part sales need to be approved by the Panasonic Field Engineer in each region, a bit of a hassle but it is a policy that limits sales to non-authorized service centers. There should be no hassle getting approval.

Merry Xmas TW

So I called Panasonic and they tell me I cannot purchase the board without purchasing the other items and the total price came out to be $400+ and some change.

Screws - THEL0239 - (7 pcs) $1/screw
Cover - TKKL5266 ($2.98)
Instructions: TQZH461-2 ($10.74)
Instructions Book: TQH662 -($9.74)
HDMI PC Board Assembly - TXNHA10ZYA - $237.32

Does this sound right because this would suck if I can't get just the HDMI board?

C,

LOL, did you ask for TY-FB8HM ? That should be a complete assembly.

TXNHA10ZYA is a PCB only but TXNHA10ZYS is a complete assembly that is an exact sub for TY-FB8HM, and I'll bet a six-pack is cheaper than the board alone.

Call them back and get quotes on these part #s, they are open until 8 pm EST.

I also called the parts depot today, got the exact same story as cman28, but they gave me the TXNHA10ZYS part number instead of the ".....ZYA" part number. Same price, same bundle of SKUs to order, same authorization needs....

Got a friend of a friend who works for Panny down in Chicagoland, I think I'll give him a call and see if he gets any breaks as an employee.

So I called back to get some clarification and this is what I was told.

TY-FB8HM is no longer available but I can buy the following items (kit) to make your own TY-FB8HM board. And before I can make the order, I would need to call in to get the authorization code.

Screws - THEL0239 - (7 pcs) $1/screw
Cover - TKKL5266 ($2.98)
Instructions: TQZH461-2 ($10.74)
Instructions Book: TQH662 -($9.74)
HDMI PC Board Assembly - TXNHA10ZYS - $237.32
Ground Shipping: $14.95 plus Tax

I'm in the same boat, looking for a HDMI blade for a co-worker who ownes a 9UK. I believe he would be happy with a component blade, anyone know the part number? Would he want a BNC Component Video Terminal Board, a RCA Component Video Terminal Board or a Composite / Component Video Terminal Board?

All,

Trying to get some headway into the parts offering.

Seems you can order TXNHA10ZYS which should be a complete TY-FB8HM not the ala carte that 2 members have described. I suggest waiting until next Monday or Tuesday when all of the key people are back from extended holiday.

It looks like the price of $237.73 is correct for this item.
