Wouldn't it be nice if 1.30 contained top-model Z10 voltage enhancements for all us V10 black-level-rising complainers...

I adjusted vr600 and reset my clock before any of the rises kicked in (I think) after my a-board replacement. Things are looking good on my 50" v10. Updated to 1.30; I dunno. I'm just waiting until we find all these values in the lsi data or something someday; and this fiasco can be fixed at home one way or another by the real enthusiasts.

To my eyes, for the most part, acceptable. They do not seem to be any worse or any better since the 800 hour mark. I prbably have around 1300-1400 hours on it now.

Yes I believe it. I have a 58s1 and I can tell you that it is still black, not as black as when it was new and it does have over 1700 hours. Looks great. I do not do any measuring or even think about it but it still appears black, even with the lights off. No gray. The IR is not a problem. , , In standard mode I have had my contrast set at 78 and brightness at 46 since day 1. The so called break in period is way over rated, in my opinion. There will be a disagreement about this I am sure as some members in this forum think it's the doom and gloom for everybody.

I was talking with someone who had checked his 58" S1 with over 1000 hours, and he hasn't seen a decrease.

I don't really care either way, I like my tv. Just more curious than anything. A lot of what you get outta this site is untruthful and not researched, so it's hard to tell how many actually have seen this big shift.

Do you game at all on your set? I ask because of your comment about IR not being a problem.

There are some people over at Slickdeals claiming the 1.3 update has fixed their black levels, but I think they're honestly just trying to see something that isn't there.

If the say 1.3 had a stability fix for Viera Cast, it probably was related to Amazon Streaming. I had issues with a TV show that stopped half way through and wouldn't restart on two different occasions. When I called Amazon they said it was a known issue that was in the works with Panasonic. They credited me the purchase fee and the issue would resolve with power cycling the TV most of the time but it will be nice if its truly fixed. I don't use the Amazon a ton but it is convenient when they have what I am looking for and others don't.

I don't see where the 1.3 update is available. I have the 50G10. Is the 1.3 update not available for my set? I have 1.29.

I believe it is only available over vieracast, since it apparently is a vieracast-only update.

Definitely didn't fix my black levels.

It's nice that this thread has been kept alive, but I gave up hope a long time ago.

I still love my g10 despite it's small imperfection.

Just an FYI...

I should be able to get the official authorized 'way' to reset the a-board firmware which resets the black levels to square-1 shortly through some connections at work. I'll post the exact cable you need and any software / procedure method as soon as possible.

FWIW, there is now a VSUS control in the service menu for at least the G25 series, and it is on low at the moment on my G25. Maybe this can fix the MLL issue for the 13g models?

It can be set LOW or HIGH, and it makes the whites whiter on high. Ill tests its effects on MLL tonight

Ugh, please don't tease us. I wish you'd just not say anything and then spring upon us the good news completely out of the blue.

Its not a tease. I just have to get an email address through work, and send it out and wait for an answer.
