Try looking at your G10 bezel in a dark room with a flashlight.

My G15 also appears dark blue under this lighting, and scratched/clouded. With normal lighting it looks glossy black.

Also, if you look at your bezel with a flashlight and rub it with your finger, you will see that it scratches all to hell. Just from your fingertips. And the scratches don't wipe away with the included cloth.

I'm still amazed at how easily these "shiny parts" are scratched. You'd think they'd come up with a better material that can be handled without being cosmetically damaged.

Break in is a preference, I am only breaking the set in as it is getting calibrated.

How dark is the screen coating compared to previous Panasonic plasmas?

Same here. As soon as my local Best Buy gets them in stock I plan on getting one. I also have never had a plasma and would like to know how to break it in or the do and do not's.

Which TV are you talking about? The G20? Or the G25?

I think i saw it said that BB will sell the G20, but the G25 will only be sold by MHT.

It's not necessary to break a Panasonic plasma in - you can just adjust it to your liking and watch it normally - it will break itself in as you watch it for the first several weeks.

If you're going to get it ISF Calibrated, or otherwise insist on breaking it in, follow D-Nice's procedure in the "Official 2010 Panasonic Settings/Issues Thread":

What do you mean compatible?

It's not a 3D tv

Anyone know the proposed Canadian pricing for the 50G20? I have to buy a new tv to replace my 50G10 Panasonic says can't be fixed. I'll have to pay any cost differences myself. I'd like to stay with a G Series I think.

I just called Future Shop (as I am returning the G15 since I have become black level paranoid) and asked about the G20 as a replacement... It is in their computers and should be available next week. It is going for $1999 for the 50' model. This is damn good as I paid $1999 for the G15 and THAT was the sale price...

That is great news! Thank you for that. I have to purchase from where it came from. I paid $1850 for my G10 but if I had to pay say $150 to sort this out I would gladly at this point. I'll talk to them & note the Futureshop price & availability to see if that gets things moving for me. I've been hearing end of April early May so far when these sets will be out here & no real specifics on models or price. The store kept saying they'll have a G2 coming in at 1999 but I think they have it wrong & it's the G20 in fact.

Just found the new link on usb wireless connectors on panny's site. Bad news.
http://panasonic.jp/support/global/c...usb/index.html

It looks like only a panasonic wireless adapter will work.

Cleveland Plasma, can you help us with availability of this thing?

Model DY-WL10PP-K

Mostly Harmless.

I stated it in the other thread but if you can get the Brick to give you their commercial pricing, its in their system for $1690.

Just build a wireless bridge instead. Most decent routers can be configured that way and it's cheap and easy.
