Just got my TX42G20E on Monday, and Tuesday night the panes fries itself and a black vertical bar, around 10cm in width, shows up around 1/3 from the left.
Panasonic repair guy will pick it up tomorrow.
On another note, I've been looking at the PVR-recordings on my external 2.5" harddisk, and it turns out the disk is formatted in UFS2 format, and each recording takes up four files. Files are unrecognizable, but in case someone wants to look into it, the harddisk can be mounted in Linux like this:
$ mount devicename /mnt/panasonic -t ufs -o ro -o ufstype=ufs2
These four files make up last nights HD-recording of Star Trek - The Final Frontier:

-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 452 2010-03-03 00:30 4.dat
I hope someone can use this :-)
Will keep you posted on the progress of my G20 repair :-/
