Hi, I have a Panasonic TH-42PD25, 46 in. which uses the pedestal TY-ST42PA20 which is no longer available. Does anyone know which other Panasonic pedestal I can use on my tv? I was told that I could use the pedestal TY-ST08-K for the tv TH-42PD12 but that model is also no longer available either.
Thanks D

The TY-ST08-K is still available since it's spec'd for the recent and current pro models. Amazon alone shows 20 retailers that have it. Here's a recent thread with a few other options:

Thanks for the information, you are correct. I found the model # last night and ordered it right away. The information that it was no longer available was given to me by an employee at Panasonic and I assumed that I was given the correct information, go figure. Again, thanks for such a quick response.

I read your thread on pedestals for Panasonic plasma TVA. I have th-42pa25 that is in need of a pedestal. I found some still in stock in the uk, part number Ty-st42pa20. They were being offered at a price greater than a replacement tv including the stand. How did you make out with your search for a substitute.

Bought one (TH-42PD25) recently that was wall mounted and need a stand.

Either the TY-ST42PA20 or the TY-ST08K

anyone have a bunch (or one) of these sitting in a closet?

I too am looking for a replacement TV stand (pedestal) for Panasonic TH-37PA20. I know that model TY-ST42PA20 is the pedastal that orignially worked with this TV, but I can't find that mode anywhere. Does anyone know where I might find one, or another model that is compatable with this TV? Thanks.

There is no documentation that says it fits the consumer model TH-37PA20 since it's made for the Pro models, but since it's physically the same as the silver PA20 stand i don't see why it wouldn't fit.

According to the TY-ST08K PDF manual i have, it fits the 37", 42", and 50" Pro model. It shows that you install the poles in a particular orientation (line up two arrows) to fit both the 42" and 50" display, but for the smaller 37" display you spin them 180 degrees so they attach to the crossbar using different holes (lining up two dots) than the holes used for the 42"/50" configuration. The poles are offset so in the 37" orientation the poles are a little closer together than in the 42"/50" orientation.

In the PDF manual i have for the TY-ST42PA20 stand, they use the exact same instructions and drawings for the pole attachment method. It should work the same on the TH-37PA20 since it's already been established that these two stands are physically identical aside from the trim colors, and are interchangeable on the Pro and Consumer models.

Screen Shot of the pole installation for both the TY-ST08K and TY-ST42PA20:

There are three Panasonic table stands that will work on a Panasonic Pro monitor

TY-ST07K "duck foot" style that was made for the earliest Pro models.

TY-ST42PA20 (silver w/black trim) that originally came with the 2003-2004 Consumer models

TY-ST08K (all black) that is made specifically for the newer 42"/50" Pro Models (it's the exact same as the TY-ST42PA20 except for the all black color)

FYI - None of the consumer model stands from 2005-2013 will work on any Pro model despite what the Ebay sellers claim in their auctions so be aware of that.

Another option is the aftermarket Premier PSD-TTS/B universal table stand that uses the TV's wall mounting holes in the back. This one is height-adjustable and is available with a black base (also silver or clear acrylic). I've seen them online for as low as a hundred bucks or so. I think they may be discontinued, but Amazon still seems to have some.
