Just picked mine up my LG 60PK950 plasma TV from best Buy on Saturday. AMAZING picture, great features, etc.. TV is huge! Still working on calibration although THX mode is outstanding. Not one real negative identified yet, outside of a little more screen glare than I'd like during that day. Watched Avatar tonight and was blown away.

Anyone else pick one up yet?

Congrats on your purchase! I had my eye on the PK950 but was scarred off when the non-defeatable edge enhancement issue showed up on the PK750 (and 950's) so I purchased a 550. It has been posted that LG has a firmware fix coming down the pipe for this. Wondering if yours has this already? Also, how effective is the true black filter that comes with your set? The one negative on the 550 is it's glare. How does the 950 compare to sets with AR filters?

Mine has the option to defeat the edge enhancement.

Blacks are great, however I didn't have a chance to really compare it to other plasmas before I purchased.

There is slightly more IR with this set than I had with the Samsung I had prior, and the glare is a bit more. Other than that it's a wonderful TV

To me that edge enchancement bug is annoying but slightly exaggerated in AVForums review. Over 25% of that whole review, reviewer is talking about that bug. If you are not using PC and watch a broadcast or movie on SD or HD and still can see it from your seat;
a) you are using binoculars
b) you are watching too close
c) you have a vision like an eagle

Still I want it to be corrected, though because it makes the picture actually less sharp.

Tru-Black filter works really, really good according to picture I found on DDay.it review. That is only picture in the internet where PK950 has been photographed without flash under bright light (using flash doesn't tell anything how display can preserve blacks/contrast in daylight so please stop using it, camera flash makes any plasma display look light grey).

There is absolutely no buzzing with mine.

I have no idea what the "edge enhancement" bug is.. My 950 has the option to turn it off or on.

I always used to think of LG products as cheep generic pieces of crap but after reading chad's review it seems that these will give a better picture in a light controlled room then the panasonics especially after they rise in black and the price is utterly amazing 1400-1500 for a 60 inch plasma of this quality. Not too mention the sleek thin design. I live right outside of Cleveland and plan to pay cleveland plasma a visit very soon. I hope they let me watch Chad calibrate my tv. Would be fun to see how the pro's do it and a very educational experience, can't wait!

And congrts to LG for putting out such a nice product at such a competitve price.

I'm still gonna miss my pdp-5020 but thats a sad tragic story. I can still see that day in slow mo. Moving into my new house and watching the plasma crash down the steps as it slips out my hand -sigh- 2300 down the drain.

I thought Cleveland Plasma was just an online site and that they don't actually have a physical showroom.

I'll have to try that one when my wife won't let me get a new TV.

Well if you want to save a boatload of money the LG will give pretty close performance to the panasonic at a fraction of the cost. If you are mr money bags and dont care about price then you'll probly be happier with the bigger panny.

Better looking at it for yourself at an electronics store. Something that might not bother you would bother someone else.. Everyone's opinion is different.

I'm thinking about exchanging my Samsung buzzer for this bad boy - really can't stand the noise. Has anyone had issues with overly loud plasma buzzing with this set?

So how do you like the 60PK950 now after you have had it for a few weeks? How did the calibration go? I think this is the TV I'm going with. I was hoping to see a review from Cleveland Plasma.

The TV is still not widely available yet for purchase in the US. The best price yet is around $2,450.
