Hi -

My mother was gifted a Pioneer PDP503PU television, it is too big for her place so she wants to donate it, or sell it and donate the proceeds. It is mint, was practically unused - the good (and rich) friend that gave it to her claims they only used it maybe a dozen times.

She would like to have some idea of the value. I have searched CL, Ebay, etc. - it's an old TV (2004) and there's really nothing out there from which to estimate. From what I've read, this model also had pretty bad power supply issues, which is why you see those parts available everywhere, so that obviously affects value.

I'm thinking she'd be better off just donating the unit, it doesn't look to me that there's much of a market for this model.

Thoughts?

thanks.

I doubt it has much value...maybe a hundred bucks at best. Newer sets are much better and can be had for less than a grand.

Apparently this model needs the media box also.

That which may be known of God is evident within man, for God has shown it to them, so that they are without excuse. (Romans 1:19-20)

Yep - she has all the pieces/parts and has confirmed the unit works just fine.
