Yea the samsung was nice I must say

I am now reading about the 2011 sets and saying if I had only waited... My family and I moved across the country 6 months ago for a better life and I gave away my 61 inch DLP to someone who could use it, so I was without a set and needed to get a good replacement. It was down to the VT25 and PNC8000 after I returned a Samsung UN558000 LED for horrible reflections and off angle viewing as well as lag while gaming. I went with the Sammy for the reflection handling capabilities of the 8000 and am happy I did. Both sets are truly top notch plasmas; one has better blacks initially and the other has better processing to some; however both are great for gaming...pick your poison.

Yep, just clarifying.

BTW, what games are you playing on the SNES? I never had one, but have thought about getting one for Super Metroid, among others, though I think that one may be available on the Virtual Console on Wii. I do have every other Nintendo home console.

Nice collection. I kind of missed the 16-bit era since I was mostly a PC gamer at the time. Any games you especially recommend?

Also, how's the IR on your C8000? I get a little nervous about that with the classic gaming on my Pioneer 500M. Those big blocky scoreboards, health bars, and HUDs are a real IR torture test, though I can't report any problems with it so far.

It seems that the panasonic G20 is the most recommended plasma for gaming.

I would prefer to buy an LG 50PK350 or 60PK250 cause they are sold very cheap now. Reviews speak highly on video image quality and SD content upscaling.

Are those models also well suited for gaming ? (Input lag, Image Retention, ..?).

I saw the LG"s set up and I like the modern look of the glass but the units are just way to reflective. I mean if you stand in front of one (even when they are playing) you can see youself good enough to comb your hair. The samsungs that were next to it (c7000 and c590) were about half as reflective. I guess if you use your tv in the total dark it might not matter. On the other hand some narcisistic people might actually like the LG's for there mirror like finish.

The reflection of the screen is no bother to me, as I will use it i a room with no direct sunlight.

Wat bothers me most is perhaps IR or input lag.

personal experiences with these models ? They' re half the price of pana's
