vizio vp322 32" Plasma

long story short, I tried to use screws that didn't come with the tv to attach it to its base/stand (i know - stupid & careless) - lost the original screws long ago, 3rd year with this tv - one of the screws went in too far and scratched very badly the strip that can be seen in the pictures attached. I now have a thick (approx. 2") black line running vertical down the tv screen.

Please tell me I didn't just destroy my tv - is there any way to repair/fix/jimmy, etc something on there to get that connection working again? I'm a 23 y/o law school student so I really don't have any money to put into this. I know this tv isn't worth a ton now a days but when i bought it I was getting a deal at $500+ so I'm really hoping I didn't just throw that away.

Any advice, suggestions, etc. or if anyone has a suggestion for a different forum to try, it would be much appreciated.

thanks in advance,

the photos are kind of upside down. the top of the image is the bottom of the tv.

It appears you hit a circuit board and damaged some of its trace lines.

There may be a way to run physical wires between the damaged trace lines to complete the circuits again, but probably the most recommended option would be to replace the circuit board itself.

Finding that board at a reasonable cost might be a challenge, though.
