Since not as many folks tread the 5060 thread anymore, I figured I would post this here. Looking to mount my 5060 above the fireplace and would love to relocate the media box to a room almost directly above. This set uses a media box connected to the tv by a DVI and MDR20 cable. I was wonder if anyone would know if I could use this cable to extend the run into the desired room. It would be way cheaper than buying the 200 dollar cables off pioneers site or even off ebay.

If I want to put my surge protector/power filter up in that room as well, would I be ok just running an extension cable from the tv to the filter? If so what gauge cord do you recommend? Thanks.

The longer you stretch your cables the worse your picture is going to look. You might think about finding some sort of signal amplifier, then all will be well.

So a 25 foot run is gonna equal degrade picture quality? I've been reading that with a digital signal, it either works or it doesn't.
