Yea,,, really,,, dont listen to me,,, what do I know,,, I've only owned more plasma's than I can count/remember and never done any of that break-in BS, and have never had any problems at all,,, ever.
Better safe than sorry is better advice,,,,, safe from what ????
There are many advantages of burning in ???? really,,, do tell what are those advantages ???? and Im not talking about general BS stuff here on AVS,, Im talking REAL documentation that proves burning in/breaking in, does something.
I should stop spreading rumors,, Ok, now that really is a hoot,,,,, what about all the rumors being spread that break-in actually does some good or makes a difference.
Im not spreading rumor's,,, Im spreading fact,,, break-in slideshows are a total waste of time,, period.
On a side note,,, I dont mean to come off like a dick,,, Im really a nice person,,, I just get fed up with seeing people jump thru all these break-in hoops for no reason what-so-ever.
I will agree,,, 15 years ago when plasma's first came out it perhaps was a good thing to take some care with static images to prevent burn-in on a new plasma,, but that was 15 yrs ago,,,, plasma technology has changed by leaps and bounds since plasma was first introduced.
Plasma's today do not need break-in !!!!!!
