About a month ago, my 1.5 year old panasonic TH-42pz77u plasma (my bedroom set) "lost" about a 1 foot, 2 inch wide vertical strip on the right bottom of the TV. There's a permanent "black bar" on it now, regardless if I display from DVD or Cable.

I read one other post on this forum that had this happen from about a year ago.
Has anybody else had this happen? and if so, was it an easy fix, or an expensive fix ?

thanks already for any advice/ideas.

Sounds like one of the C boards failed.

Hi, many thanks for the quick reply !! Do you know by any chance if replacement of a "C board" is pricey or relatively "cheap" ? i.e. few hundreds bucks or less
