If they have such a good relationship with LG, then why are there no LG Plasmas listed on their own website? They do have Samsung models, but not LG's. If they really had 40 units in stock, I would expect that they would have listed them on their own website by now, and yet, as of this very moment, they have not.

Just wait for a little while ,until the items start to show up in the more established, well known large retail vendor's listings.

That is when we can expect to get a more realistic picture of what the actual street price ranges will look like.

This happens with a lot of the TVs that are released, it is almost always a ploy to get a pre-order, w/o telling the customer so.

Here is the info my company has. We don't have the MSRP, but we do have the MAP (Minimum advertised price) info. So I would guess the prices would be around there or slightly higher to start. Estimated shipping month is also included, the PZ550 should be shipping this month.

SKU MAP ETA
42PT350 $599.99 March
50PT350 $799.99 March
50PV450 $1,099.99 March
50PZ550 $1,299.99 Feb.
50PZ750 $1,599.99 April
60PV450 $1,699.99 March
60PZ550 $1,899.99 Feb.
60PZ750 $2,199.99 April
60PZ950 $2,599.99 March

Better black level claims from using more advanced filters are generally bogus. Still, I hope they get the black levels really low and do something about input lag.

Samsung PN50C7000
Yamaha RX-V775WA
BIC Venturi DV64 Towers
BIC Venturi DV62 CLRs Center

Still building but sounds amazing so far

The MAP is suggesting that 50inchers will be below the magical mass market price of $1000 this Christmas.

Here's a decent spec sheet for the PV450. I'm really liking the bezel on this model.

The LG 60PZ950 is currently on amazon.com but not in stock and no date of delivery but it's getting close.

I took some pics while I was running out of the house, they aren't the best since it was my phone. I will try to take better ones.

This is my first plasma tv and I went back and forth for weeks about lcd/plasma. I am sure I made the right decision as lcd lacks the color pop I finally wanted. I also got as great deal on it and why buy old when new cost less.

1st impressions:
1) Great looking tv.
2) Panel is highly reflective, this is for my bedroom so I'll have to control the lighting better. It was between this and the 55nx810 but even the glass on that would produce the same amount of reflections where I have it. So I decided to save myself a ton of money.
3) Slight buzz from the top of the panel, however you can't hear it from a foot away.
4) Picture is outstanding (I didn't know that red is suppose to look like "red paint"...lol, I haven't calibrated it yet as I just got it.
5) No USB wireless stick. On LG's website, it states that the wireless USB stick is included, but if you read the actual manual and the spec page on the website it states it is not.

I have a 60PZ550 on the way to me and just found out, via email with an LG representative, that the 3D glasses are different than in past LGs.

The AG-S100 and AG-S110 do not work. You need either the AG-S230 (child), AG-S250 (regular), or the AG-S270 (Malli designer).

I was told the new ones are RF and not IR.

Supposed to be available in April according to the LG rep. Price is unknown.

Sucks to get a new tv and can't even use it for 3D immediately.

I just wanted to give a heads up to others.

Peace.

If you have a chance, I'm curious to see how the blacks are at night. I'm considering the 50" pz550, but I want to know how black those letterbox bars will look on my screen at night. Hopefully, it's an improvement over the pk550, which had decent blacks.

Right, but how black? Do the black letterbox bars on films blend with the tvs' bezel in a dark room? Probably not, but if they've got blacks similar to some of the 2010 panasonics or samsungs, that would be pretty good.

Anyway, if the blacks are really good, they won't glow very much in a dark room.

Guess the reviews should start in the next month or two.

It would be the PZ950

http://www.lg.com/us/tv-audio-video/...tv-50PZ950.jsp

It is such a pretty looking set. I think this and the D7000 from Samsung look the nicest. It won't have floating or rising blacks. It will have a working 3:3 pulldown (on all their models even low end PZ550). They say impossibly deep black levels which has me thinking they will match VT25 pre rise ala the D7000 (of course this is just my wishful thinking). Oh, and it will be much lower price than Sammie and Panny. Seems like the PZ550 which I believe has everything but the TruBlack Filter (doesn't matter if you have dedicated dark theater room) may be the best bang for buck. I see it for $1300 right now. Hope that helps.

It stated "impossibly deep black levels"

I know its a long shot, but I would LOL if it matched a 9g Kuro before Panny or Sammy, lol.

I will check the black levels again, unfortunately I haven' been able to play around with it so much yet because of work, so I apologize.

As far as the lag, I don't have a gaming system hooked up, unless you count Nintendo, sorry, can't seem to let go of that one...

What I can tell you guys, I accidently left the tv on late last night, and as usual I fell asleep. Dish network does it's updates at 3am so their default "Your receiver is currently off" display was moving around for about 3 hours, mind you I've only ran the set for a total of about 10hrs so far. Somethnig woke me up and I was like holy s@#$, and I quickly went to look to see if any burn in occured. Great news is I briefly saw the Dish logo faintly on the right so I ran the color wash for a few and watched tv after that. ALL IR is gone, not even a trace. So it seems that it handles IR quite well.

I hope that it does better with IR than it's predecessor the PK550. How's the reflection? I heard it is same as last year, basically a mirror.

LOL if it beat Panny to Kuro blacks I wonder how all the fanboys will take it. Last years PK950 has better/as good blacks than a post rise VT25. Now that is hilarious as are the fanboys justifications for it.

lol, well you don't need a gaming system to check. Just need a PC, a CRT monitor (or even a laptop might do although it would be less accurate) and a camera.

A bit of work though so I wouldn't expect you to if it didn't really matter to you. Just curious
