Where do u see these weights? I saw 95 lbs or 105 for Sammy and 160 for panny. In any case Panny is almost out on weight.

I wish there was a good 65"LCD under 3K.

You saw shipping weight with box and packaging. This is the actual weight:

http://shop.panasonic.com/shop/model/TC-P65VT30?t=specs
http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-PN64D8...=5336055023-20

TC-P65VT30 Weight w/stand 138.9 lbs
PN64d8000 with stand 84.4 lbs

Samsung weight is close to an LCD weight but picture is much better then any LCD may be with the exception of the $7000 Sharp Elite.

I read in the Samsung pnd8000 thread that the fluctuating brightness has been totally fixed by a mail order firmware "logic update" usb stick?

read more here: http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=1389562

anyone have any experience with it?
