I have no problems controlling other devices from the S5, just this TV. I have only downloaded and tried the free ones so far, because I'm afraid to pay $8-10 for an app that doesn't work, but I gladly will if I know it's good.
Hey guys, my lae wife and I bought our 2nd panny plasma after being so satisfied with our 50pz700u.
our new one is a tc-50s30, love it with the smart features and all, although the pic on the 700 was much more natural especially skin tones.
Now the problem, after a static discharge, which seemed like a lightning strike, ther were some problems for som electronics in the house.
All device affected were hooked to a cable coming in from outside.
Directv boxes, wirel
ess phones and answer machine etc.
our panny pz700 only lost hdmi capability, hooked it up diff, and works fine for a bedroom set, pic looks good as ever.
the p50s30 however wont power up.
1st, are there any internal fuses.
If it power supply, is plug and play or does It need soldering
I did buy a Samsung pn60f5300f for living room, looks fine but must get a disc to help me adjust10p white balance, as well as other functions with test patterns..
The main complaint is a scene with the sky in background, or bright lighting is way too blaring losing detail
I have tried gamma adjust and of coarse standard contrast bright and such.
I would appreciate a recommendation on a user friendly test and adjust video to use thru my buray player
Somewhere around here is joe kanes video essentials but I don't think it is bluray.
Any help tryinto decide whether to put money in the s30 as wel as a good bluray adjustment vid that a laymen can work with would be greatly app.
BTW money is kinda tight as im a disabled vet on a fixed income.
If a shop tells me its going to be a good bit of money to fix, I will try to work with local vet organization to pool our money and donate to a deserving combat vet.
If you guys help me w some good advice, I will definitely post some pics when we surprise the great american with the tv
Any helpwill be very helpful, concerning adjusting the Samsung plasma in the living room and also any simple checks or tests on thes30.
BTW not sure why that quote was included in my post, not intentional.
