First post!

Hello everyone, I recently purchased an ST30(55") from amazon and I've been going mad trying to figure out the best settings without having to get a professional to calibrate the TV for me. I've searched the forum for my answer but I kept finding other posts that didn't answer me correctly.

Basically I would like to know every single Custom Mode setting you all used for your set. I think it would help others in need who have a similar question. The TV is excellent but I know I can tweak it more. Sorry if this is a repost.

IE*

Brightness = 10
Contrast = 7
Color = 2

etc..

Thank You,

b|est

Just keep in mind that D-Nice's settings are to be used only if you ran slides for 200 hours.

I tried his settings without running slides and the pictures was near colorless and dark.

I tweaked mine myself in Custom and got mixed results until I have settled on what works best for my room and lighting. I will PM you what I have used but please understand that this is not the best idea. Your lighting conditions and room are different and therefore these settings may look off.

Actually they're supposed to be run for 100 hours, not 200.

Yeah, any deviation from the panel aging instructions usually results in non-ideal results.

Maybe at this point a calibration DVD would be helpful?

Eh, I have it looking good on my own. But when I get around to it, I do have a calibration DVD I do want to try.

Sorry about the misinformation there. I thought it was 200... My bad.

Color slides or just watch regular HD content that fills the whole screen with no logos or hud's.

If you plan to use D-Nice's settings then you'd want to run the slides for 100 hours without any other content in between. You can do that or just watch the TV as normal then apply whatever settings you want. Break-in process for the first 100-200 hours is done usually to evenly age the panel for a calibration done with a meter+software.

If you are following D-Nice's settings, then follow them exactly.

If you are just doing them to age the panel for whatever reason then yes use slideshow and make sure they are cycling through the colors at a decent pace (I think 20-30s between color is fine)

Hi all,
Sorry for bumping such an old thread but I cannot find D'Nice's settings for the ST30. It seems it's guarded and only set via PM. Would someone mind sending me them? Thanks!!
