Love my 500M. I'm still bummed I sold my 111. We were a two Kuro household.

I haven't seen a new TV that's made me think about replacing it.

The television screen is the retina of the mind's eye.

I love my Kuro. I have a 151FD I bought from Best Buy on clearance for $3699. A couple months later, Best Buy was blowing out the 101FD. I bought that one on clearance for $1600 with a 5 year warranty. Still sitting new in the box until I can move into a house, or entertain an offer that will help me with my down payment.

I have no qualms about the 151FD. I actually had it in my apartment side by side with an Sony XBR8 (one of the finest LEDs) and there was no comparison in my mind. Blurays look incredible, lifelike, deep, detailed, etc... Can go on and on.

Pulled the trigger on a new in box 500m. Now I just pray that it arrives unharmed.

Professional calibration was a must for me (thanks D-Nice!).

I wanted my 151 performing at its best! Looks much better than any of the OOB settings, and even better than what I could accomplish using ControlCal with D-Nice's recommended settings.

Totally agree! As much as I enjoyed my 500m out of the box, having the 500m Professionally calibrated(Doug Wehl @ Clearly resolved) in pure mode and Isf modes there is no doubt having these babies calibrated is the way to go. This is the only display I've ever owned that I literally don't wish for something better. From seemingly infinite contrast, superb color, color saturation, video processing, etc pioneer really was striving for perfection. I really wish they could have hung around for another 2-3 years. I think they would have perfected plasma tech, Although I think the 500m is damn close.

I purchased a 6020 for 2k just to sell if. Was brand spanking new. I did make money off it. But I also kick myself in the ass for not keeping it. I WANT KURO BLACKS.

I wouldn't expect OLED to do much for quite a while. It uses sample and hold like LCD, so motion resolution sucks.

Obviously they can insert black frames like 120/240/480Hz displays, but you need to increase brightness to compensate. The problem is, they're having issues with OLED aging at current brightness.

Glad I decided to buy mine before they were all gone at BestBuy. Love the Kuro. Only bad thing I notice is when I turn it on there is a really high pitch noise coming from it that lasts about 5-10 minutes. When the TV is warmed up, the noise is gone. Other than that it is picture perfection. I hope it never dies.

I purchased a 6020fd at BestBuy NIB shortly after the announcement that Pioneer was exiting the plasma business. Paid about 4k with warranty. Couldn't be more happy. I did buy a board to turn it into an e-lite. I've been to scared to do it, I keep telling myself if I break it, the best TV ever made is gone! On the other hand, if I don't screw anything up I'll have an Elite. I keep telling myself wait until another TV comes out that will perform better than the Pioneers. Change the board then, if you screw up no biggie, you can just go and buy a new TV. We all know, no TV's better than Kuro and now I'm still waiting to put in that dang board!

No doubt. Got my 101fd from best buy for $1800 new and couldn't be any happier. Still be far the best set out there, tho i did see a sony led that had some nice inky blacks, but kuro is the benchmark.

Looks like in the future will be very very difficult to find a plasma with that amazing natural-white
skin tones of the Kuros
