Plasma is not dead, but the regulatory agencies in the US are doing their best to make sure you will be before your 65th birthday.

The motivation for the supplement changes is entirely company from big pharma, which hates the supplement industry with a passion. Heaven forbid non-patentable formulations should do anything for you and get in the way of their drugs. Lovaza is more or less Costco fish oil....

Sorry to go off topic, but the motivation for Energy Star is coming from a different place, even if it might ultimately harm plasma sales -- and so far it hasn't thanks to allowing plasma to pass muster using the "standard" modes.

There is no difference in HDMI cables. If you can see the picture without visible dropouts or sparklies, the cable is working at 100%. No other cable will display a better version of that picture. You're simply wrong if you think there is a better digital cable than one that is already working.

I have my own views but I don't want to jump the shark any more than it already has.

As an owner of an 1150 Kuro, which I am contemplating selling as we speak, I certainly hope PDP don't go anywhere. I still feel my 50" Kuro blows away pretty much everything out there as far as PQ goes. I hate to even consider parting with it because I have NO clue what to look at in a smaller size.

and just so u know Lg has one LED that performs just like a plasma
and frankly i am a plasma man, but this lg has the 7000d and 8000d on the run, lw5700 led, at the same time you really need to know what you are talking about,

extreme, are you referring to the LG 55/47/XXLW5700 that has passive 3D? Just trying to sanity check myself because I recently returned one thinking the 5600 was better (spec-wise), but was very disappointed in the 5600's PQ. Was starting to question myself if I was just seeing things ... that I should have kept the 5700 a little longer to see them side-by-side, but your comment seems to support my impression. Thanks.
