I just wanted to thank the forum as it proved to be a valuable resource in providing the necessary infos to realize this overdue little project of mine.
I had to give up the idea of using an articulating mount. And in the end, I used Chief's Fusion XTMU and four Toggler Snaptoggle 5/16".
Here is the end result (excuse the iphone photos) and special thanks to Enoc at Pro TV Mount:

Couldn't resist adding this one of my favorite assistant waiting for the completion of the install...Attachment 217106
Looks good, check it from time to time to make sure nothing is giving way.....
The dog is adorable and good job on the mounting!
@cleveland So far so good! (knock on wood...). What convinced me besides all the good feedback on AVS and the fact that some people here used them to attach lighter tvs on drywall with no studs :O , is a demo at Grainder where they had the whole staff go though monkey bars attached to a double sheet of 1/4" drywall using just two 1/4" Toggler Snapptoggle and let me tell u that some of them could compete in heavy weight boxing if they had the skills.
@GSDtrainer Thank you sometimes I suspect that he knows that he's irresistible and uses it to his advantage!
