Just got the PV450 on the weekend, didn't bother with any break in, it's located in my basement. Here's my feedback.
-Glare problem not an issue with my two small windows in the basement and pot lights. However I probably would not get this TV for upstairs rooms with lots of windows.
-Movies look amazing in cinema mode - I tried the settings from Blacknoir above, perhaps I did something wrong because the picture did not look as good as in cinema mode.
-My sons game nonstop due to summer vacation on PS3, XBOX, and WII. They love it. I cannot comment about black levels, lag, etc. All I can say is that it's amazing to see the games on the big screen - we leave the TV on cinema mode - but I will try the game mode as suggested above.
-OMG the size is really unbelievable. I saw the TV in the store but next to the others it was difficult to judge the size. At home it's like a Movie Theater, it's such a pleasure to re-look at movies I have seen before on the new TV: Matrix, Armageddon, LOTR, etc. Difficult to communicate how big the TV is, my previous was a 47 inch LCD.
-XBMC media player - I have a modded AppleTV hooked up to it and no problems with 720p MKV content. However I need to download HD shows now, because ordinary divix do not look as good on large screen.
-Rogers cable (Canada) - ordered a hi-def PVR Cisco receiver - perfect integration with the TV. Again HD content is amazing, SD content is just ok. Perhaps the issue is once you get used to HD it's hard to go back to SD. I may have to upgrade cable package to include more HD channels. I did not see this comment/issue elsewhere in my research - so just be warned.
-It's large and heavy. The TV stand I bought from Costco had a back-plate and mount. I struggled to keep the TV level and screw down the screws. Due to the weight it kept going off level. Finally managed to lock it down with the mount and fairly level. Honestly I would need a professional if I were to mount the TV on a wall. There is considerably more heat than an LCD - you can feel it with just your hand at the back of the TV. Not a big issue however.
-Plasma versus LED: I spent hours researching this topic, so far glad I went with Plasma.
-Quality: unknown - only one week in. Have not seen many issues on the net regarding issues.
-Final comment: Do I recommend this TV - absolutely, if you are on the fence go for it. I purchased during a recent BestBuy sale - it was hundreds less than other 60 inch tv's. Only caveat is about the location, windows, etc. I hope these comments help others.

It's also surprisingly great on energy. I would be getting the 60 inch. Can anyone say how it works for gaming? Black level? I only use HD so i'm not concerned about how SD looks. how does HD look overall? Does this set have a game mode? etc.... Thanks!
