No. AVS has gotten better over the past few months and my settings being posted here will benefit the community. A lot more to come

D-Nice,

Panasonic claims the rising blacks are fixed. Cnet's tests only go up to 1500 hours. Have you been able to test any 2011 Panasonics beyond the 1500 mark and if so, how is the MLL measuring? Thanks.

I'm pretty much done with Panasonic in that manner. I have not nor will I be doing this type of monitoring for Panasonic products.

Thanks so much for this. During the setting up of my ST I ended up right where you were and was left with a green push using default W/B, so the W/B settings overcame that. Now I'm left with a tv that is very pleasing to watch. Nice cal report you left at the 'other' site. I really appreciate what you have done here

Just a few days too late haha! picked up my gt30 last tuesday. been running the slides for a while now (just hitting 200hrs now) but i was running them at the default picture values for picture mode Standard. You think it would be acceptable to do the settings you have listed here? if not, i'll leave it on THX.

I downloaded these slides from the other forum last week and it seems that slides 3 & 4 of the red group are the same shade. Anyone else notice this? Not sure it matters, just an observation.

It does not hurt to try. However, I do not know what the end result will be.

"D", if we have a newer build ST, mine is October, will your settings pretty much be the same? I am assuming that you were working with a "fixed" display and everything is the same. BTW/ compared to my VT25, your ST settings are pretty damn good. Thanks again.

You should be ok, but I do need to provide updated setting for the later ST models.

hmm, my VT25 has not been stable.
I am hoping when it reaches 2500hrs, it will finally behave.

Just got my replacement VT30 from best buy (replacing panel with a 1" scratch on the backside of the glass) and the line bleed is horrible! The menu shoots across the screen while running break-in slides. Has anyone else experienced this? I don't recall seeing this on the first set. Also not sure I am calling the issue by it's appropriate term, but when the menu is on the screen it changes the shade of the background color (slide) across the screen.

Kind of bummed right now.

First set- screws were cross threaded and stripped by installers (why do these guys use screw guns?).
Second set- 1" scratch, or plastic, or whatever behind glass.
Third set- worst line bleed I have ever seen.

The build date is August 2011 serial number MJ1214

Any thoughts?

Sounds normal to me. I've seen this on
every plasma I've had and I'm sure the
break-in slides/torch settings show it much
more. If you don't have anything else significant
wrong I wouldn't worry.
