I'm looking at purchasing my first plasma this weekend. The 60" Zenith is on sale for $999, which is the lowest price for a 60" I've seen so far. Any thoughts on this model? I've read somewhere that its a rebranded LG 60PV450. Although the Zenith doesn't have 3D, I don't plan on using 3D at all.

The other set I have my eye on is the 55" ST30 for $899. Which is the better deal? Thanks.

I'd vote for the 55ST30 better panel has an AR coating to reduce glare. I owned the 50 inch model of the PV220 for about 3 weeks, it does somethings very well. Great for sports, accurate color and lots of picture tweaking options. Blacks are sub par but can be tweaked if you are brave enough to take the back of the panel off. The PV220 is definitely a nice looking set.

In the end I returned it because of shadow detail issues that I could not seem to get rid of. I own a Panny and while the PV220 is a great value I dont think it is quite up to snuff to the ST30. Just my opinion others may differ.
