I have a question I hope someone can help me with on my 55" ST50. I just upgraded my DSL connection to 12MBPS so now I can get streaming HD via the built-in WiFi. I can also stream HD video via the new Sony 3D Blu-ray player I bought. The audio for both the TV and the Blu-ray are connected to the receiver via separate optical inputs, as my receiver was made prior to HDMI. The difference is, when I stream via the Blu-Ray I get 5.1 surround. But when I use the built-in WiFi to stream exactly the same program from exactly the same source, in this case a movie on Amazon Instant Video, it only comes out in stereo. Why is this? Is there a setting I can change on the TV that will send a 5.1 audio signal to the receiver when viewing content received via the Internet? For cable I have optical out from the cable box to the receiver, so I always get the native signal (sometimes 5.1, sometimes stereo). So this question only applies to content received via the Internet. Thanks.
