If you take a look at this spec sheet -> http://ramsaysmarthomes.ca/info/Samsung%202012%20Panel%20Chart.pdf you can see the e530 and e550 60 inch panels are pentile matrix.

great link, thanks for the update.
amazon info for the 2012 models is not 100% correct.
yes Samsung info is the pentile 60" is NOT FULL HD so those should be avoided for sure.
I hope they are not 720 displays but I wonder what the resolution is?
I guess the 'Real Black Filter' used in all the plasma's is a Anti-Reflective filter.
I wonder how different or better the 'Micro Dimming' panel is to the 'Clear Image' panel?
Personaly I'm extreamly impressed with my e450 'Clear Image' panel's ability to
ward off Reflections in the day time.

technically they do fall under the definition of being 1080p, but they should really be upfront that it is a pentile screen. more information is always better for consumers.

Look at resolution for the e530, e550

'Full HD 1080p (51"& 64")

then the fine print:

*Samsung’s Pentile Panel reproduces FHD-like experience utilizing sub-pixel rendering technology, making it 40%
energy efficient over last year’s 59” comparable model.

Does 'FHD-like experience' mean it's not 1080?
