I currently have the LG 55LM7600 on order.... I have a 60" LG plasma right now and wanted to get bigger or at least 60". However got really good deal.... I know these are completely different tvs and the LG is only 55" (vs 65" for panny) but need some thoughts or recommendations.
Home theater use, blu ray, cable, gaming, 3D.
What is "wrong" with your 60" LG?
That is, what do you hope to gain by replacing it with a different panel?
Or, conversely, what FLAWS do you hope to Avoid with a new set?
Going from a 60" panel, neither 55" nor 65" is a tremendous size change - but the difference BETWEEN 55" and 65" IS substantial (55 -> 65" = approx. 40% larger area) - therefore Viewing Distance AND Typical Program Material should factor into your decision.
We have a 60" ST30 now, and at 9feet blu-rays are GREAT - but Upconverted SD DVDs and many so-called "HD" tv broadcasts look better at about a 12 foot viewing distance!
Also, while game play on the 2011 Panasonics seems very good (apparently due to little lag on the panels), there have been a fair number of reports of IR problems. We don't game, but our set DOES show much more "Short Term IR" than either of the other 2 (older) plasma sets we have: just a couple of minutes - literally - of a Menu will leave an echo that lasts a long time on reasonably "static" material. (Visible against "institutional" background colors: grays, beiges, dirty yellows, medium greens...).
Good luck with your decision.
