So here's the dilemma... 55GT50 or the 60ST50.

I'm going to be sitting 10.5 feet away. I'd say 40% gaming, 40% TV, and 20% movies....

I was all set on the 55GT50... but i keep thinking for the same price I could get a 60inch... are the added enhancements to the GT better than 5 inches?

Appreciate the help in advance.

If you need more than one mode for different environments then get the GT50.

At that distance, I'd say go for the larger screen unless you really plan on using multiple modes.

For me, larger screen size trumps the feature differences.

Wait until you can afford/prices drop on a 65ST50. You won't regret it.

I am in the same boat regarding the 60 inch ST50 or 55 inch GT50. The value of the ST50 seems difficult to resist but was wondering if it wold be worth it to spend the extra money for the GT of the same size.

Any suggestions?

Well, I spent about 20 minutes last night taping out the size of the two TV options on my wall (55 vs 60) and I don't think the extra 2.5 inches on each side would make a difference for my seating arrangement. So I think I made up my mind (for now at least) that I'm going to go with the 55GT50.

And I think i'm going to be ordering it from Amazon... Free shipping to my basement and no tax... well worth it.

Anyone have any thoughts on a Warranty for it? I hear Square trade isn't great for TV's, any other options?

AVF has changed their GT50's input lag result from 30 ms to 45.3 ms. If you're a gamer, you should consider that too.

Yeah, I say at that distance, go for the 60".
I'll be sitting 8ft away & I ordered the st50 60". If it's too big then I exchange for a GT50 55".
