About where to buy my stuff, in live in Brazil and Amazon either does not ship here some articles or charges you a lot for shipping. Buying from eBay has proven cheaper and with very little counterfeit risks, if you know what to buy.

About the Samy glasses, the 5100 seem to supersede the 4100, isn't that so? Are they worst?

Now about that X105BT Xpand type glasses mentioned on last page, are they better? Because they are really expensive.

Sounds like you have a 2013 model if the glasses that came with it are powered by a battery. I'm pretty sure all glasses that may came supplied with some 2012 model tv's and before were all rechargeable type glasses. The Samsung 5100's replaced the 4100's so you are correct in that. I see no difference in picture quality between the Samsung 5100's and Xpand 105BT glasses.

No glasses were supplied with the 2012 models so he must have 2013 model

Remember this is Brazil where I live, so maybe policies are slightly different. Those are the glasses type they supplied with 3D TVs.

But I find them uncomfortable over the nose bridge, sitting as they have to, ahead of my glasses. I took out the 3D glasses nose piece, as they explain on the manual, but they still press on the nose.

Cnet claim the Samsungs are uncomfortable, particularly if you wear glasses, so I'm not sure what to do. So I'm now between the X103 and 5100. Perhaps I should get one of each (similar price) and split the bets.

This may be a stupid question but I don't know.

I just got a Panasonic 65VT60. Do you peel off the little red and blue tabs attached to the lenses? Not much info on how to use these things.

Thanks.

It is a protective film for the lenses, so you remove it.

No. It is just a small red and blue tab.

If it makes you feel any better, I have always said the only stupid question is the one that is not asked! Hope you enjoy 3D as much as I do.

Carlos,

I actually have the 5100GB and I use them on top of my prescription glasses with no problem whatsoever. Nevertheless keep in mind that not all prescription glasses have the same make.

Not sure what he is using them with but they will work with all 2012, 2013 Panny's plasma models.

Just bought 60ST60 through Amazon so I'm assuming the 2 pair of glasses are the TY-ER3D4MU ($51.05 on Amazon now)?

I need a pair or 2 of glasses for my 5 year old and a friend. What glasses fit the wee ones best? TY-ER3D4MU, X105BT, or SSG-5100GB

I do see some 'compatible' Kids glasses but am suspect unless someone can vouch for them.

Will pick up another pair of the X105BT or SSG-5100GB to make 6. Samsungs appear to be the deal right now at $20/pair.

Hello everyone :)

I`m new here and need your advice (help)...

Few days ago I bought a Panasonic 50" Full-HD 3D NeoPlasma TV Model: TH-P50ST60A which came with 2x Panasonic 3D Glasses Model: TY-ER3D5MA (Full HD 3D RF).

Can anyone give me advice on which Samsung or other brand 3D glasses will work with my TV?

Panasonic 3D glasses are expensive and I need to look for something cheaper.

I have been looking at Samsung 3D Starter Kit (SSG-P2100S) , Samsung 3D Starter Kit (SSG-P2100T), Samsung 3D Starter Kit (SSG-P2100X/XS), Samsung SSG-5100GB and the Samsung SSG-4100GB.

Anyone can tell me if any of the above 3D glasses would work or any other good advice?

Thank you for your help

Are you sure you didn't get TY-ER3D4MU with your 50ST60?

Many buy the Samsung SSG-5100GB which are $19/pair on Amazon.

Just looked up TY-ER3D4MU on Google. They look rechargeable but my are not rechargeable. I checked again and it says TY-ER3D5MA on the frame.

You are right. The 2013 Panny's use the battery replaceable glasses now. I was waiting for the glasses to come to market so that I could get them for my 2012 60GT50.....but they are too expensive. I opted for the Samsung SSG-4100. Basically the same as the SSG-5100, just minor frame change.

I'll check them out tomorrow to see how much they are here in Australia.

For the $$ the Samsungs are your best bet. The only noticeable difference between those and the Panny's is that the Panny's block a little side ambient light. It would only matter if you have a light source comming into play when watching 3D. I watch 3D in the dark!!! No difference, reported here, in the picture quality!

For the person with children, again get the Samsungs, kids are rough on everything and when they break you won't care tooooo much smile.gif.

@Van G, Thanks for your help

Any chance the SSG-P2100S will work with my 50ST60 TV?

I was wondering which Active 3D Glasses are considered to be the best for the Samsung F8500 ???  As i'm looking for comfort, fit and performance. And as I understand Samsung allows us to use other manufactures glasses as well.
I've read that some sync better than other Active Glasses with Bluetooth and others have better fields of view and so on....

what are your thoughts?

Is it my idea or there are less films being released in 3D lately?

Is the fade going away?
