Sparklies are usually an HDMI cable that needs to be pulled out and reinserted.

Hi, I own my 55VT50 since it was launched. I've never calibrated it.
When I play with the PS4, if I disable the IFC, I notice the motion judder that cause me a headache...
If I enable IFC... the input lag grow...

Now, I'd like to apply one of yours "calibrated settings" posted before and hope that my problem go away.

Could you recommend some settings for play with PS4 without headache??

Thanks in advance.

ps: sorry for my English

Hi Bryan 338. I was able to influence and fix blue sparkle with VSUS pot changes in the back of the TV. This was related to the yellow blob issue.

It was very apparent on non blue scenes. E.g red, orange or tan.

I also had it on the right hand side and was able to fix it with a balance of left and right VSUS pot tweaks.

Now I have had no issue for at least a year.

I have a procedure documented if you are interested and still have an issue.

Thanks

3d settings are independent of other settings shouldn't be an issue, also you shouldn't lose your settings from a firmware update.

The THX modes will almost certainly give you a more accurate picture than the calibrated settings for a different unit.

would you be so kind as to send me the instructions for the VSUS adjustment? the yellow blobs are now getting very irritating, especially on white background scenes. i have it on both left and right side of the screen, right side is worse though. thank you!

Best thing to do is buy a copy of ControlCal so you can download settings files that have been shared by users and upload them directly to your TV. Details and files are all available at the ControlCal forums.

Looky here!

No problem mooshoodragon. The blobs are certainly a pain. I can PM the info to you on the adjustments.

The changes are still holding up strong on my VT50

Sorry to hear about your issue.

the best thing to do is bring out a top level calibrator like Chad B

i had the blobs, after proper calibration, they are completely gone

That would be like resetting the odometer on a car. I'm sure it is only possible as a hack.

Is there a voltage tweak, similar to the Kuros to lower the black level of the VT50?

Recently we had some strong thunderstorms in the area. Now my 65VT50 wouldn't power on. The red LED on the lower bezel blinks 3 times and repeats. It's plugged into a Belkin PF30 power console which is still working. Does anyone know what components are potentially burned out? What's the availability of parts for this TV? Thanks in advance for any help.
