Also, check the input names in the TV settings for your HDMI ports. If any input says something like "not used" then you need to change it, otherwise it will be deactivated.

No it doesn't say that. Also it happened that they stopped working in the middle of use... so I don't know how that setting would have changed in the middle of use.

Did you get there right manual? There are a couple, I don't recall having and confusion over the descriptions, but it's been s few years. Most settings are recommended to be disabled anyway.

Hi!
My UT50 is showing a vertical line, about one pixel wide...
Have any of you had this problem or something like it?
Maybe my TV is dying :/
The image is still perfect though, no problems at all.
The line appears when the TV is showing some specific colors.
Sometimes it isn't noticiable, depending on the background, but sometimes, on blue brackgrounds, for example, it's clearly visible...
Maybe only 2 of the 3 RGB colors are working for this column of pixels?

I have a theory that the vertical line anti image retention thing on this set can actually cause a burned in vertical line pattern, due to the way the screen brightens/darkens at certain positions of the vertical lines. I often used the vertical lines if I had some image retention, or if I was going to leave the screen paused while I went to the bathroom or whatever, and now I have this pattern of burned in vertical bars. Only noticeable against solid colors for the most part (most noticeable in a solid grey) but it's there. It's like each bar burned in as a gradient from dark to light, which against each other still show enough contrast to be visible.

Has anybody else used the vertical bars a lot with their TV to try to prevent IR? If so, have you noticed anything similar to what I notice?

is it 8 blinks? if so, that's an easy fix from $20 if you have soldering gun to $60-ish if you can work a phillips screw driver.
