What was the technical hurdle to scaling panel sizes down?

Plasma Display Panels are unavailable in the smaller sizes you can purchase an LCD/LED in. How come Plasma Panels aren't made smaller than 32/37 inches? There must be a technical reason?

As I understand it, plasma cells cannot be shrunk below a certain size. A smaller screen size could be made but it would not be high definition because it would have to contain fewer pixel cells.

Small plasma cells are less efficient which ultimately leads to lower brightness or/and higher power consumption. This is because the emission happens close to the container's walls and not in the center of the plasma cells as it should.

As i understand, the pixels themselves are also less stable which causes sub-pixel misfires.

It's because anything below 50" is completely and utterly a waste... Even for your kitchen. Go big or go home.

Oh, but just don't go too big because they only make plasmas in 65".

What 70" LCD?? I've never heard of any such thing!!
