Alright I know that the GT50 is a better tv then the e550. However I can choose to get 64inch e550 or the 60 inch gt50. (its a points thing through work). Would you sacrifice size or quality? Just wanting some opinions here. Thanks!

Found a lot about this topic here and the consensus seems to weigh in the size favor however GT50 seems to be a lot better TV then the e550? I am sitting about 10 feet away.

Both sets have their flaws for sure.

I owned the Samsung PN51E550 and returned it due to auto brightness adjustments during hockey, random flickering during sports and annoying buzz. I wanted to like the Samsung because overall the sports looked pretty darn good except for the Hockey issues. So after returning the Samsung, I went with the Panny GT50 and received it last Friday, the bezel is so much nicer looking compared to the Samsung, 4 HDMI slots instead of 3, 3 USB slots, SD card, WiFi and 3D (no glasses though). I have only had the set a mere 2 1/2 days and so far out of the box, blu ray movies are very nice looking, with a good amount of tweaking options but the HD sports looked grainy and washed out, I was using the standard picture mode; some folks reached out and gave me some tips so I will be putting it to the test against tonight's cup finals match.

In my opinion, go with Quality.

Thats not really a far comparison.
Since the E550 is Samsung's lower end model and the GT50 is a higher end Panasonic model.
The Panasonic UT50 models are directly comparable feature-wise to the E550.
The GT50 is more like the higher end Samsung E7000 models.

I am not trying to compare the 2 TV's what I am saying is I can get the 64 inch E550 for the same as the 60 inch GT50. So should I get the bigger one or is the GT that much better where I should get the 60 inch?

Pick Size unless your option is a crappy tv. The E550 will be perfect, I think! Enjoy

If you watch mostly hd and 3d in dark room then take Sammy, but if you are in bright room take Panny.

Quality over size any day. What's the point of having a bigger screen if you can see every flaw. I would go for the GT

TV - Panasonic 55GT50 Main Speakers - Klipsch Gallery G28's Center Channel- Klipsch RC-52Sub - Klipsch Sub 12Surrounds - Klipsch RS-52 II Bluray/Game - HTPC/PS3, Receiver - Onkyo RC-360 HTPC- Intel Core i3, HDMI,Windows 7,XBMC,Bluray,3 TB,wireless WMC keyboardVideo processor - Darbee

Exactly what flaws E550 has? Im sure it is pretty similar to more expensive sammys which rivals panasonics. Only flaw is that this doesnt have ar-filter, but in a dark room thats not an issue.
