The Kuro does not look right in these side by sides. Even in Movie mode the Kuro looks rich and deep nevermind Pure mode with D-nice settings. There is something wrong with that Kuro.

Not to concerned all TVs are going to have a Bad one here and there. As much as i love to get a St50 i am willing too wait! My 2008 Sony Brava XBR is still working just fine. Ok there is alot of VT and ZT talk sounds like alot of people must have very deep pockets or running out and maxing out there credit cards for the best picture ever. Yes i love watching movies but not worth breaking the bank over. SO my question is i sit about 12 feet away and my SONY 40 works but i really want to go bigger!!! 65 to me is over board well at least for now. But i know the Vt is not going to be under 2000 for a 55 which i be getting a warranty at least a two year. I am sure i never have a problem but you never know! So my question is from going from a 40 would a 55 be big enough or should i go 60 either way i can do it just i save me money if i dont need too but at the same time i dont want to buy the 55 and go oh **** i wish it was a little bigger? only if i had a extra 1000 bucks laying around i get the VT but what kind of people have that ?Thanks

I started with a 42" because my gf, now wife said that was big enough, she was wrong ! I upgraded to a 50" 2 years later, that lasted a year, I went with a 55" which lasted a year. For my last birthday my wife bought me a 80" because she was tired of hearing me complain about the 55 not being big enough, unfortunately the black levels on that were pretty bad compared to my 55GT50, so she returned it for a 75ES9000. Lesson is... get the most amount of inches with a PQ you can live with.

i don't mean about you...i see a lot of Kuro owners not all...that believe that panasonic 5 years later can even at least "match" a KRP600...it's a TV...it's obvious that they can make a better display than the last kuro...but how much it will cost to they make it to a reasonable price to the customer.
All i read in 3 diferent threads it's defense, defense and more defense...and then in 1 thread they want a replacement...maybe or maybe not ZT60 will be the "one" but nothing seems to please some "kuro owners"

agkss, i don't know about anybody else, but for me it's not about defending the kuro or doubting panasonic can match them. ANYBODY can match them and beat them it's just that no company wanted to all these years. Sharp came close. To some, they surpassed the kuro.

It's about what i'm seeing in these comparisons being wrong. How do i know it's wrong? That's easy. The 60" 151 that i have is telling me so. But everyone will see soon. When reviews hit and owner comparisons are done.

but...but...but
you are going to need a better set of speakers to fully exploit that setup. ZT60 speakers are not as good as the VT60 speakers.

Who uses TV speakers? I know some still do but buy a tv based on speakers? Kind of silly, imo.

Well those are the ones who probably never liked panasonic or any other company anyway. And feel the need to be the only ones who own something better than everyone else. That's dumb. And that's not me. I'm a fan of whoever makes the best technology they can. If vizio surpassed the kuro i would buy it. Yes.

But the kuro in the comparisons man.......i'm being as honest as i can when i tell you a kuro doesn't look like that. It's too gray and washed out. Did you look at 2:24 in the video? The VT50 has better blacks and a deeper color than the kuro. The problem with that is.......the VT50 doesn't have, as tested and seen and reviewed, better blacks and deeper colors that the kuro. Even if it did, the difference wouldn't be that dramatic to the point where the kuro, with a measured MLL of 0.001, would be washed out.

This is about what's right and wrong. I don't know about anybody else.

Meh, I doubt it's the majority being that petty Five years on, as a PK owner, I welcome something that solidly defeats it in every PQ category.
