Can anyone recommend a product. Nothing too costly.

I found this, but it's too small:

We simply use a small - maybe 15" - supposedly "daylight" tube lamp behind our 60" set - and I actually have a couple of bent metal "reflectors" ovher that, partially to help direct the light & partially to REDUCE the amount of light that is visible.

I use six undercounter soft-white flourescents that I got for <$15.00 each from Menards. I used 2" velcro "sticky-back" to attach them. I have them connected in series, and I use a foot-switch to turn it on and off. It works well.

Bias lighting should be as close to 6500K as possible, otherwise the light will affect the color of the set.

Ideal Lume is what most people use.
