I just purchased a plasma TV that only has an optical audio output. My integrated amp only has RCA inputs. Can you recommend a good converter for the audio? Thanks. Don

The Fiio D03 is a reasonably priced, good sounding DAC

Yeah, or some from ebay:

If your tv has headphone output, you can use a 3.5mm jack to stereo RCA cable too, is cheaper.

Just be careful. Most of the converters only handle 2-channel conversions, not Dolby Digital.

My solution was finding a used cheap AV receiver.

You may not need a "good" DAC depending on your usage. Since your amp has only RCA inputs then i presume it's just a regular 2-ch stereo unit and not surround sound, in which case the cheap $20 Monoprice DAC would be sufficient (it only does 2-ch stereo).
