I want to move my 42" plasma into my bedroom and get a new 55-65" tv for my living room. The size would be dependent upon the price, as I prefer to keep it under $1000. For the most part, it will be used for sports, HDTV, and some PS3 gaming (Battlefield 3).

Anyway, I came across this:
SAMSUNG PN63C7000
63" 1080P 3D PLASMA HDTV

$599

Now, I have no use for the 3D function, but from what I've read, it does HDTV just fine. Any one have any thoughts on the price, brand, quality, etc? The pricing seems like a steal, but it's also low enough to make me raise an eyebrow.

Also considering Samsung 60" PN60E530A3FXZA and LG 60" 60PA6500 for $999. I've been very satisfied with the plasma I have, and the prices on plasma tv's seem to generally be lower than either LCD or LED, so I certainly don't mind sticking with them.

You better jump on that SAMSUNG PN63C7000 QUICK! A $2000 TV for $599 isn't going to last long. The LG for a grand is a very good set too. I would get that before your second Samsung choice.

Just went to order it for "in store pick up" and it's sold out already, although it is still available in other stores (none that I know of within 300 miles though), so it's still listed on the website. I'm going to be calling around to see if anyone will price-match it.

Do you realize that the PN63C7000 is an old 2010 model?? It could be a floor model, or a used return, or refurbished, etc but it's not likely that it's new. Nobody is going to pricematch a TV that was discontinued in 2010.

There are no notations on the website about it being in any other condition than brand new. I do realize that it is a 2010 model, however a Google search showed a number of retailers who still have this model in stock (albeit not for this price).

Remember though that when you do a google search, the retailers may not actually HAVE the product, may be a scam site, or marketing grey market as new......Id be very skeptical unless it was a well known retailer saying it was new......Google is great for many things, but you have to be careful when searching for products.....
