I've had my new panasonic st50 for about 3 days now, and have about 18 hours of use of it so far. It's working great and the picture is amazing. Two times now there were sudden occurrence where the TV would shut off by itself and then two seconds later turn back on. Nothing seems out of the ordinary, it's not overheating or anything. Like I said, it's not happening a lot (not yet anyway) but it has happened twice while just watching blu rays. Any thoughts?

Ok make that two times during the last 2 hours of watching a blu ray. I don't think it's the remote. I don't have any timers set or anything. I'm pretty confused and slightly worried. And I know if I can't repeat the problem on a consistent basis it's going to be hard to make my story compelling if I were to call customer service or something.

Is anyone else having this issue at all, even with other panels?

A few others here have had this happen on various brands/models over the years.

It's not supposed to do that, so yours must be defective. Can you return it for exchange?

Yeah, it's only 6 days old. I unplugged the power from the TV and made it more secure and plugged it into a different slot on the power strip. I haven't had a reboot since. I've also been pointing the remote away from the TV just in case too haha. Seems to be stable so far. I'm hoping it was just that the power wasn't 100% secured in the back of the TV. It is a rather tight fit and has those small clamps to secure it too.

I've had the same issue myself, mostly it occurs between commercials. It's also happened when switching picture modes.

Is your tv still doing it?
