Hello all..I'm sure this is highly debatable, but any thoughts on the 2013 line up of plasmas??
I currently own a LG 60 PA5500.
Im looking for a decent 3D plasma in 55 or 60 inch, on a $1,500 max budget...I'd like to stay with a 60" if possible smile.gif
I was considering a Vizio or LG, because they have passive 3D's...
I saw Samsung has a new 3D plasma for $1,200 but its only 50 inch frown.gif
Any thoughts?

Are you set on a 2013? With that budget and size goal, taking advantage of some of the great deals on the 2012s will probably score you a much nicer TV.

Prices on the 2012 models is very low right now and production of the 2012 models is ending about now. When the new 2013 models start hitting store shelves around March, their initial list prices will almost assuredly be higher than the current end-of-production prices we're seeing on the equivalent outgoing 2012 models. It's like this every December.

Vizio stopped making plasmas in 2008, and unless you know something that I don't, they will not be making any plasmas in 2013.
Also, I feel that pre-CES is pretty early to be talking about 2013 models.

Nothing set in stone, for a 2013 model, I just thought maybe in a few months, we would see more WiFi models.
I currently have a "smart" version, but would really like to have full WiFi, so I can unplug my desktop from my tv smile.gif

Got it, Randy. 2013 should yield a nicer display, imo, whereas buying now will deliver a much nicer value. Of course, exactly one year from now the discussions will be much the same.

I don't know if it will prove to be true or not, but it has been implied by someone at Panasonic that 2013 will see greater improvements to models GT and above than to models ST and below.

A quick question. I see so many of your posts cite tv-compare.blogspot.com. Is there any reason you mention this site so many, many times in your posts?
