Can anyone confirm that the ST60 has a buzz? My 60" ST30 has gotten louder since i purchased it back on 3 JAN 2012 for 1149 shipped to da house no tax.

Highly considering LED for my next purchase , maybe a Samsung

can anyone confirm how many watts or the yearly cost for the ST60 is on the energy star label

Form what I ahve read all Plasmas have a "buzz" it can be directional or it can be everywhere......over all Panasonis are not know for thier buzzing, but you may be more sensitive to it then others..........

It really varies by set I think but tend to agree, my ST30 did develop a slight buzz right before I sold it

I agree that it varies by set. I'm not saying that other people's tvs don't buzz, but I do believe that many could have their buzz fixed, or greatly reduced.

That review is for the TX-P50ST60 which is a European model. Euro models are vastly different than the North American model that this thread is about (picture modes, picture settings menus, etc) so not all of the info there applies to our NA version.

My tv buzzes when the volume is low .. I cant believe they cant figure out a way to completly make this issue silent. Its quite annoying but i guess so is traffic near the house and the barking dog. Come to think of it , that buzzing must be all that electricity surging in the back lol

What model do you have? Try tightening the screws on the board. I posted some youtube videos of the "fix". You might be able to find them there or look for my post on the GT50 thread.

All plasmas buzz to a point, atleast everyone I have owned and been around. Some may be slightly louder, but I'm convinced that some people can hear that frequency, and some can't . If it isn't terrible don't let it bother you and enjoy your tv, every TV will have its nuances

Take your time Chad! You and Chris don't have to give us honest reviews. Its a lot of work plus you could be making money doing calibrations instead.

Happy to report after a few days of totally normal usage PWM is almost totally gone!!!! It really acted me when I first fired up the st60. And after a few days I'm sitting in my dead silent living at about 9ft and I hear nothing (I can easily hear the fridge though and it's pretty quiet in the other room

I hear no buzz and mine is in an open closet where any buzz would be amplified by the surroundings.

This TV looks awfully heavy on the green to me. I've been through a few Panasonics and all of them were too green for me but usually just adjusting the tint a few notches to the red makes them fine, not so with this one. I'm hoping it will tone down the green after some break-in time. Beautiful picture on this besides the green push. Clarity and blacks my 5 year old Panny can't dream of.

Cost cutting?

But I agree, backlit remotes can be very handy.

Good to hear!

So overall would you say the video processing of hd cable on the 60 is considerably better (sharper, cleaner, less noise and artifacts) than on the 50?

How about color banding with hd cable content? Are the gradients any smoother?
