NTFS works fine. I think the biggest MBR partition that this TV supports is 2TB. Since you have a 3TB, maybe you can let us know if it works with a single NTFS partition. Thanks!
For what it's worth here is what I got in a chat with Panasonic support.
Les: What file types are supported?
Kheanj: the file formats supported via USB are AVCHD 3D/Progressive, SD-VIDEO,MKV/MP4/M4v/FLV/3GPP/VRO/VOB/TS/PS,MP3/AAC/FLAC/WAV, JPEG/MPO
Les: Would NTFS be the only HDD format supported?
Kheanj: FAT12, FAT16, FAT32 are supported
Les: Including NTFS? What about the drive sizes?
Kheanj: The largest size that will operate with this unit is 2TB
Les: Would that be a partition size limit or a drive size limit?
Kheanj: The drive size limit
Les: Thanks. Can you confirm NTFS?
Kheanj: I am not able to confirm that this unit supports NTFS at this time
But it seems that fanbanlo
can confirm NTFS on a 2TB HDD. It doesn't look like the ST60 series can handle a HDD larger than 2TB, and that formating a larger drive into smaller partitions will probably not work.
