Simple question: Will Panasonic EVER produce a plasma that is BETTER than the best Pioneer Kuro in terms of video picture quality before they cease producing plasmas--WHENEVER that happens?

I'd wait for the 2014 sets, that should put them above the 9.5G Kuros. Project Jupiter, whatever they've been calling it, this is looking to be the set that makes OLED less relevant until 4k

The ZT60 seems on point to equal the best of the best Kuro based on some reporting at CES

They did a pretty good job at keeping profit up.

Other brands 60 inch tvs hit $1000 while Panasonic kept theirs at $1900 etc.

If TV prices drop further you cant expect them to stay in the plasma business much longer.

Getting rid of the G series is a strategic move. The V and Z series will be allowed to cost premium.
