Buying a new TV this week and have narrowed it down to these two any suggestions? I will mostly be watching movies and such with this set and gaming occasionally.

Samsung 51" Plasma
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007BG47IW/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

or

Vizio 50" LED
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009LG6B1G/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

Thanks for the help.

Movies and games? I would go with LED. Are the movies going to have the black bars at the top and bottom of the screen?

More than likely, yes. Seems they mostly all have the bars these days. Thanks.

Well you can zoom in, but it will take away from the quality of the picture a little bit.

But still, if you're going to be gaming, I think LED would probably serve you best.
