I originally started with the 60ST50, and while the PQ was amazing - the IR, slight DSE and netflix blinking issues warranted an exchange for a Samsung 60E6500, and it was $300 cheaper to boot.
Then i brought it home and fired it up. The buzz was almost instant, high pitched and happened on all content. I think it has something to do with static electricity...as it would build up, then seemed to disappear then come back...
On top of that i was really disappointed in the black levels, seemed dark grey in comparison to the ST50 - especially in a dark room setting. Was happy with the 3D (noticably better), screen uniformity (no dse), no weird netflix blink (but audio did cut out) and slightly better at handling IR. But I couldnt get over the buzzing, after 3 weeks I unmounted, boxed and lugged my 2nd 60 inch tv back to the store and return to Panasonic. Im convinced that this type of buzzing is closer to the norms for Samsungs, and that this tv was not considerably worse than the others.
I sat 9ft away, and the buzz was high pitched enough to not get drowned by a
Turns out the grass isnt greener, Deeper Blacks + Silent operation > Less IR (which i can manage) + slight DSE + better 3D
