Hi guys,
I have a 2 year old LG 60PZ550. It has worked great up until a couple days ago. I am wonder if anyone can diagnose the problem by looking at the attached pics. I have tried different inputs, different cables etc. It appears when I watch both directv and the xbox. I also seems to cause a flicker or at least thats the best way I can describe it.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Any ideas? The tv menus themselves appear to be ok.

I have the same issue... Just started happening about a year after I bought the TV. It's like a "purpling" that appears on the screen (mostly top & bottom). I too see this on my DIRECTV, on Netflix and on the menu screens.

Any advice? Help!!!

THANK YOU.

I had to have my panel replaced. The estimate cost more than what I paid for the TV. I called LG and complained and luckily they agreed to fix the TV under a 'one time warranty repair', so it only cost me the money for the estimate. TV looks as good as new now.

If you want to fix this yourself you can do this with a screwdriver and digital multimeter.

Tom669 --- you have my attention. I'd love to try to fix this myself. What do I do? Thank you!

You will need to take the back cover off and take clear pictures of the boards inside so I can see what we are working with. Then the Vs, -Vy and Vzbias testpoints can be located and the measurement compared against the panel rating sticker, printed on the inside of the set. Adjust the appropriate "pot" (potentiometer) if the voltages are out of whack. If the problem still exists, Vs and -Vy should be increased (-Vy made more negative.)
