The ST60 settings seem unchanged from the original April 2013 posting.

You have to register to download the settings from the Calibration Forums site but it is free. The files are in xml format but can be opened in Windows or any text editor.

Larry thanks I am registered and found them looking forward to trying them

Hey all, my son broke my 60" ST30 (NO!!!) so I am getting a 65" S64 tomorrow. Should the ST60 calibrated settings on this thread work on my S64 or are there different settings?

TIA! Hopefully my S64 will be as equally or more beautiful when it comes to black level and colors!

There is probably a better solution. I think the S64 is the Costco version of the S60. There is a thread dedicated to both models. Someone there did a home calibration of the S60 and posted his results. Those settings would probably work best. I think the only significant difference is that the S60 sets don't have a filter, and the S64 sets do have a filter.

hey,

Im trying to register onto the calibrationforums so I can download D-Nice settings for the VT-60,

however I cannot register due to their confirmation key not displaying properly.

Is anyone else having problems registering??

Alternatively, does anyone here have the D-Nice settings for the VT-60?

Cheers,

Hello Everyone. i may have a potential issue on my hands. I have a 60" ST60 OCT 13 build that I bought from my local Best Buy on 10/30/13. i also have the extended 4 yr from Best Buy as well. Today the TV turned off and started doing the 8 red blinking lights. I checked on this site for answers and they haven't been good. I've unplugged and plugged it back in and it seems to be running fine. For now. My question is what would be the best course of action since these TVs have dried up and who knows if their will be any parts if I turn it in for warranty? I bought this set after reading about it on this site and would REALLY hate to have it scraped.

Thanks

Maybe just a simple fix like a power supply. The sooner you find out what the problem is, the sooner you can cry over your beer or rejoice that your TV lives! Let us known the outcome.

I've still got the banner ticker tape on the bottom of my screen from US Open tennis a month ago showing on my vt60. Im starting to worry it's more than just image retention at this point and I've got burn in. Bummed.. I made sure pixel orbiter was ON during tennis channel viewing. this display is much worse for retention than any other plasma I've used

Were there no commercials? 4 minutes of commercials should completely be enough in between an hour or two of static images. Should always use the sleep timer and put to screen wipe mode at the end of long viewing. I do. It every time I game.

Yes just leave all color settings at "0"

These settings are done using my Jeti 1211 as my reference meter to make a meter profile matrix for my Klein K10-A.
Done using my 65VT60 for patterns.

Yes I use these same settings for day or night viewing. The difference is in how I setup for a full Gamut run, setting about 9400 color points. Most base calibrations are done using 10 points for grayscale and 6 points for Gamut. Total of 16 color points.

I use BT. 1886 for Night viewing and Custom 2.2 for Day viewing when creating a 3DLUT.
The reason for this is, the settings are about optimal for are VT60's. If you are interested in as close to reference as are VT60 can be.
I can send you the complete 3DLUT calibration file (14+ MB), but you would need a eecolor box to store and process this big of a calibration file.

Posted over at the ZT60 thread but these threads have been so dead Im not sure which one is best.

IR is obviously an issue with the 60 series like it was with the 50 series. Not all are affected but it varies by panel or eye sight. Some get it some dont some see it some dont. So mixing up content is the best way to prevent long term IR or burn in. The nice thing, at least with my set is that its not there for long it clears up pretty quickly but I also haven't played anything as far as games or for instance football/logo stations. I have been watching mostly BD, and I will say that when I turn my PS3 on I try to get to Netflix or play a BD quickly because the ticker in the right upper corner will cause some IR as well as the interface itself.Though not serious its concerning because I want to play Madden 15 on this set so bad at the settings I have now. This is where I wonder if the F8500 would be a better choice seems IR is not as prevalent but Im also sacrificing overall PQ especially blacks, proper motion, and color. I wish wish the ZT would go brighter, makes me sort of wonder just how inferior the F8500 actually is to the ZT60.

I am contacting Panny at some point to address the fan fix (not really an issue more of a piece of mind, and to get them to the house really), plus I have some buzzing on white scenes and scenes that are quiet with alot of light (heard at about 6-8ft), and some major green tint when using THX modes especially THX Bright. There is also some slight separation of my panel in the upper right corner, no issues yet but who knows a few down the road. In all fairness what I listed can probably be fixed with a calibration, and an actual surround system or soundbar. Dont have the cash just yet to splurge just yet.

Anyone go from ZT60 to F8500 and regret the choice? Vice versa? Im only asking because if offered a refund (or by some miracle if they have and 60 series left for exchange, which I doubt), should I just let them fix it and get a pro cal or just get my refund and grab up a 64F8500. OLED seems terrific but still issues with dead pixels, burn in, motion, and even questions circling life span of the sets. And they are damn pricey, for one OLED I could have 3 64F8500 or purchase each 60 series television. Thats pretty insane.

Anyway I hope someone can help, thanks again.
