Why Box says PDP not PLASMA? - AVS Forum

I wonder why they put PDP on box.I thought these tvs were known as plasmas and they put that on the box.I thought plasma sounds more like glass for when it's being moved there's less chance of the glass breaking.However I don't know how often the glass breaks on them.Maybe they should put CAREFULL BREAKABLE GLASS

Plasma Display Panel

Any TV should be handled with care, regardless of type. Obviously it's a fragile piece of equipment.
