Like I said it is M A T H. Not "personal preference". Everybody makes the same idiotic reasons for buying these. let's see, Your Uncle louie bought a warranty and the very next day his tv exploded. Guess what? While people type this with awe, they still can't conceive of the fact that it is totally meaningless. There are legions of people who buy warranties, buy a Toyota Prius "to save money", etc, etc. They only support they get is from salesman and people like them. Every financial, scientific and technical review runs the numbers and say "no". There is the psychological human need to justify the actions we take.
