So I have $1,200 in credit at Fry's due to Warranty replacement on a tv that is too expensive to fix. I could spend a little more if needed. Maybe up to $1,500.00 max.

It looks like they mostly have LG's in that price range and some Panasonic's.

I don't care about 3D or Smart (my PS3 does Netflix, etc).

My priority is picture quality. I do also play PS3 games so if one tv inherently has a ton of latency/lag then I need to avoid it.

They do have LED-LCD's as well, though I'd rather go Plasma. Still open to the LED's though.

According to the website, this is the selection. Though perhaps the store has different choices:

Easier to just read at the link. I filtered out some of the choices below $1,000.00 but I'm open to those as well.

Panasonic ST60 or S60 would be my top choices in in that price range...

I couldn't realistically recommend any of those choices. Basically wouldn't recommend any LG plasma, and the Panasonic models you have listed there are either really old (ST30 for $1500 is not a good deal) or not great to begin with (U50). How long do you have before you have to use the credit? If you can wait, I expect the 60" ST60 will be available there and within your price range fairly soon. The 60" ST60 is currently listed for $1500 on Amazon and Best Buy.

Thanks, I'll have to see if they have those in the store as I don't see them on their website.

Thank you. I don't know if there is a set time frame. I have to bring in my broken set soon.

They basically told me the "buyers" are giving me a Sharp LC60LE650u model but then said I should be able to return in the system and use the credit for another tv if I wanted.

Last year I recall Frys seemed to not stock the new Panasonic plasma models for months after they were available from amazon and best buy.
Might be the same this year, so they might not have them in stock for a month or two?

Yup, seems to be the case still. I went in last night and the selection isn't all that good unless I wan to go with an LG. Even with the LG they have a ton of the new models available to purchase but not on display as they are trying to push out the older models first.

edit: Pulling trigger on open box 65" Pannasonic GT30 model for $1200 including 2 year warranty.
