Remember this line appears only in light backrounds and especially panning vertical scenes with full white, or blue sky etc...

polakis you already know what needs to be done in order to have the band removed, you have a defective set...The TV needs to be replaced...areanaman and floridaman are 2 examples of members who had a band and had thier sets replaced and no longer have the band......

it won't let me vote...

but I do NOT have any banding that I can see. I saw it mentioned you could see this in the filter with the tv off as well, and that is definitely not the case in my room.

I can see very weak DSE when panning side to side when watching hockey games, but no horizontal banding when panning up and down.

I see banding... Doesn't have to pan... Bottom third and top third of screen... Shows up on solid colors and white and light backgrounds ( sky views). Seems like its normal as over 50% of owners witness it. The lines are very faint and thin. I think viewing angle has a little bit to do with how obvious it is.
