I used to own a 52" Samsung LCD screen which I bought back in 09', while it was a decent TV I could never stand the backlight bleed, garbage black levels, which to me ruined the overall picture quality. Having just moved to California (from DC), I got rid of it along with most everything else I owned so I'm in the market for a new TV again.
That said, what are the negatives with a plasma set, the room it will be in is very bright during the daytime unfortunately, however I don't watch much TV during the day so I think I can deal with that. Any other major concerns I should be aware of? Last time when I bought my LCD set I read a bunch of reviews claiming that there was no flashlighting or bleeding, which I later determined was a bunch of crap as I've never seen an LCD TV which didn't have a tremendous amout of that - this was my first LCD TV so I didn't know how prominent that defect was with LCD TVs.
So, I basically just want to get a list of the cons together for plasma before I make the choice to switch.
